Welcome to ITRI
Itri is a wine made by misfits, for misfits. It’s for the queers, the punks, the dancers. Anyone just tryin to vibe. It’s’ the wine you pair with dinner, down through the night, and chug straight from the bottle when you’re dancing on a table top. It’s the wine you want on hand for a great time.
Itri is a juicy, jabby, lip-smacking middle finger to tradition, cultivated and bottled for new world revelry.
STORY OF ITRI
Itri Cellars was born from crowded tables in “Little Itri,” Rhode Island, where wine meant family, storytelling, and gathering long before it meant anything in a glass. Years later, after finding chosen family in mentors Rande and Buck, who taught me about hospitality, conviction, and building community, I carried those lessons west to California and into wine.
Itri exists because I believed wine could feel different. Less intimidating. Less focused on rules, prestige, and endless knowledge. More focused on people.
My wines are built style-first, not varietal-first: bright skin-contact wines, chillable reds, crisp high-acid whites, and bottles created around mood, occasion, and who’s sitting at your table. Because the best wine often isn’t the most expensive or serious. It’s the one shared with people who make you feel like you belong. Itri is for the curious, the unconventional, the hospitality people, the chosen families, and anyone who’s ever felt a little out of place. A community built around gathering. A longer table…. More room!
Welcome to Itri.
Meet the Dreamer - Casey OBrien
I stumbled into wine during the 2012 harvest and never really found my way back out. I spent my days racking barrels, my lunch breaks crocheting beanies for cellar mates because… why not, and quickly became obsessed with the strange overlap between farming, hospitality, storytelling, and sales.
After bouncing through cellar gigs and harvests, I spent more than a decade building wine brands and managing the East Los Angeles market, learning from some of California’s most influential buyers, opening accounts one by one, and developing a deep appreciation for what people actually drink versus what the industry tells them they should.
I have no formal wine education, never inherited a vineyard, and built my career mostly through curiosity, hustle, and a willingness to ask uncomfortable questions.
I’m drawn to unconventional paths, alternative ideas, weird projects, and people creating lives outside the expected script.
Itri is the first company I’ve built that feels completely reflective of who I am: colorful, curious, community-driven, and a little unconventional.
Made by a misfit, for misfits.
